Something Borrowed and Blue

Here’s a little rant about this shirt:

I’m not sure what should make me most annoyed…

1) that my fashion forward son confiscated and wore my shirt yesterday without asking to borrow it.

2) that it more than likely looked better on him than on me.

3) that he wants to keep it and my husband and daughter are both encouraging me to give it to him (probably proof that number 2 is true).

4) that my husband had no recollection of me wearing the shirt and challenged me to try it on because he thought it wouldn’t fit me.

5) that I lowered myself to this level by trying it on and showing him it’s my shirt and it does, in fact, fit me.

6) that I had to explain that just because the shirt was on the laundry line downstairs does not mean I haven’t worn it in a while, it means that it is linen and I washed it and hung up to dry after I wore it a couple of weeks ago. I did that so that I wouldn’t shrink it because I love that shirt!

Ugh! My family has ganged up on me! It’s trivial but annoying enough that I felt the need to vent about it. Thanks for “listening”! I feel much better.

By the way, this shirt has been hidden from my family. It’s mine!
